Laptops and Desktops--Can have the same amount of Memory?

Yes--I'm a computer dummy. But I look down and see this big box looking thing and can get the SAME memory in a laptod preinstalled of course?

You can get the same....with XP, get 1gb minimum, and 2gb if you're a heavy user.

Typically, the same amount of memory in a laptop is more expensive than a desktop but it definitely can be done.

Laptops are much more high tech then they used to be.......Before they would only be used on occasion when you were away from your office or place of business. Upon arriving back at your destination you would "dock" your laptop and transfer any work or files that you would have been working on.
I personally work off of my laptops all the time now.....Like the post above stated, it is a little more expensive to get your laptop outfitted to have the same ram etc... as your desktop but it is definately worth doing.
